Arborvitae, American (Thuja occidentalis)

Referred to as American Arborvitae, these cedars are often used in landscapes and windbreaks due to its narrow, pyramidal shape. This conifer provides good cover, nesting and food for wildlife. This is one of the reasons the name arborvitae means "tree of life" in Latin.
