Birch, Paper (Betula papyrifera)

Giving you an up-north Minnesota feeling, the Paper Birch is a medium-grower with golden fall foliage. Known for its smooth bark with horizontal markings, the bark turns papery white and curls with age. The tiny, oval seeds provide food for birds and mammals. The paper birch is also extremely hardy, making it a great species for cold climates.
