Nannyberry (Viburnum lentago)

This slow-growing "tree-like" shrub has attractive shiny leaves, along with cream flowers, red drupes and red fall color. With mild suckering roots, it has limited drought tolerance. The fruit is used fresh, processed or dried.

 

A great choice for wildlife food and cover, this shrub works well for naturalizing property borders.
